About Chinese Medicine
Traditional Chinese Medicine has been practiced in Asia for thousands of years in much the same way it is practiced today. Traditional Chinese Medicine includes Acupuncture, herbal formulas, massage, diet, and exercise.

According to Chinese medical theory, there are channels of energy that flow throughout the body, much like rivers. They are different than blood vessels and different than the nerve pathways. They carry Qi (pronounced ‘chee’) or life force energy that moves the blood and keeps the organs functioning properly. Qi also drives emotional states and its imbalance can manifest in psychological issues.

If there is pain of any kind, it is said that one or more of the energy channels is blocked or that the energy is out of balance in some way. Acupuncture and herbs move, or strengthen, the Qi to alleviate pain and restore health. Regular treatments are also helpful to maintain health.
